A final decision, but a Heritage Record to be made
Reading Borough Council has finally approved the demolition of the last gas holder in Reading. The contractor has been made to address the health concerns of local communities and prior to the dismantling of the structure there will be a formal photographic record made and passed to Berkshire Archaeology, creating a heritage asset for future generations. Maybe not what our hearts wanted, but a little more than was originally expected.
